CrevicEchoes Oral History Transcript Database

CrevicEchoes is an open-contribution, open-access digital interview transcript database which document stories and experiences of voices from all social backgrounds and economic strata, especially previously silenced or marginalized voices. Simultaneously a digital collaboration space, CrevicEchoes is not solely dedicated towards singular user populations: rather, it is a commons for academics to conduct research and the common user to enjoy and familiarize themselves with intriguing new stories from voices typically unheard by society.

Hence, all are welcome to submit audios and transcripts of interviews they have conducted, provided that they follow norms and regulations set by the Oral History Association (OHA)’s 2018 guidelines for conducting, recording, storing, and distributing interviews. The exception to this all-inclusive norm is the establishment of a scholar-only peer-review committee, to which those with a valid enrollment in a post-secondary institution may enroll. Applications for Winter 2024 will be available on this page in late November.
